China develops solar energy in Ukraine as part of the `Great silk road`

Guo Hongliang called for solar power in Starokozache Odessa region, owned by Chinese state-owned company CNBM.
Acting Consul General of China said that `the solar project is a positive experience and a good example of the participation of Chinese enterprises in the Ukrainian market of alternative energy and is a model of strengthening the Sino-Ukrainian cooperation in energy production`.
`The Consulate General will actively assist the work of Chinese companies in Ukraine, to protect and provide comprehensive support for stable development in the territorial strip of the `One belt and one road,` said acting Consul General.
Solar station in Starokozache was built and put into operation in 2012, covers an area of 80 hectares, equipped with 183 964 solar modules. Power power generation of this station is 42,95 MW, which not only meets domestic needs in electric power for the population of many surrounding towns, but also annually reduces emissions by more than 44,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
